In Russia, they want to allow drivers to confirm their driver’s licenses and car documents through the MAX state messenger. This was reported by Sever-Press with reference to RIA Novosti.
They want to make corresponding changes to the traffic rules. Then this method of presenting documents will become official, on a par with presenting paper documents. The corresponding project has already been prepared by the Russian government.
If the standard is adopted, the driver will be able to present a barcode on the smartphone screen, with which the inspector will be able to check the data with the official database on the State Services portal.
