Cristian Tudor Popescu commented on the victory of George Simion from the first round of the presidential elections, at Europa FM, and said that such a result “was inevitable”.
“This is what happens. I have seen this, many times, in 35 years, not only in Romania. A agitation is created, a lump is created, a live sales, and people go, no longer think, reason is suspended and everyone is in a direction. It was clear. His vote for Simion.
He believes that the golden leader has taken votes “from the stopping of the elections” of 2024.
“You cannot play with this, the feeling of revolt, anger, frustration. The fact that then the elections that had already started that unforgettable Friday. This could not help but to be in the mass. People have these resentments.
Asked if it can be said that this is an end of a political generation, CTP replied: “It is an end of the politics in Romania. I do not know what they will do with this country those specimens from gold and from PO. I do not know what they will do. I do not know what those people are.
“It seems that the world does not want to see politics in Romania at all. Because they will not make politics in my opinion. And to get Romania out of the situation-economic-financial-to get Simion with Georgescu, gold, can, maybe and sauce, I do not want to think about this,” Cristian Tudor said.
George Simion won the first round of the presidential elections with a score of almost 41%. In round 2, the independent candidate Nicușor Dan, the mayor of the Capital, with about 21%will be included.
