Poland with its own nuclear project. Historic agreement signed in the USA

Motyka said during a briefing for Polish media that he was at the Department of Energy in Washington an agreement was signed on Tuesday between Orlen Synthos Green Energy and the American company GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy regarding the development of a European, and de facto Polish, project of a small modular reactor adapted to the realities of the energy market in Europe.
— This confirms the importance of this sector in the energy transformation process that is ongoing in Poland. This is proof that issues related to nuclear energy will play a key role in the new security architecture. This shows that Poland not only wants, but also does everything to be a leader in the development of this sector in Europe, especially in the region of Central and Eastern Europe, said Motyka.
Poland will create a modular reactor. The date has been missed
— We have the ambition to include this reactor in our energy system in the 2030s – informed the minister.
He added that “from the perspective of this investment and the implementation of modular reactor projects, this is a milestone in their development and implementation throughout Europe.”

— Such an agreement was signed for the first time with a Polish partner, so it is a historic event […] will drive the direction that Poland is setting in Europe today: the development of low-emission energy, nuclear energy, which will become the foundation of our energy mix. Cooperation in the field of large-scale energy has also been confirmed, he continued.
In December, the European Commission officially agreed to Poland granting public aid for the construction of a nuclear power plant.
— This is a real acceleration of this investment and process, as well as confirmation that this is a strategic project for us. This is the largest investment in the Polish economy in history, said Motyka.
