Trump's administration declassified documents on the murder of Robert Kennedy

US National Intelligence Director Tulsey Hubbard said that a total of 10,000 pages were published, which were previously classified. She added that when searching in the warehouses of the FBI and the CIA, another 50 thousand pages about the murder of Robert Kennedy, which were not transferred to the national archive, were discovered. Hubbard said that the administration would work to publish these files, and agencies will continue to search for new files in state institutions.

Bloomberg notes that the documents were published with minimal editing – mainly for considerations of confidentiality, for example, to protect social insurance numbers and tax identification numbers.

Robert Kennedy was killed five years after the older brother, US President John Kennedy. In his administration, he held the post of general prosecutor. He became famous for the organization of high -profile trials against the American mafia.

In 1964, he resigned and was elected to the Senate from the state of New York. Four years later, he nominated his candidate for the presidency. He was shot at the Los Angeles Hotel Ambassador immediately after he announced his victory in the primaries in California. The killer was caught red -handed.
