Meghan Markle, Prince Harry's wife, revealed in the onset of her new podcast on Tuesday that she had faced pregnancy -related medical complications, AFP reports.
Markle had as a guest of the founder of the dating application Bumble, Whitney Wolfe Herd, and said that “we had both very similar experiences-although we did not know at the time-with postpartum and we had both preeclampsia. Preeclampsie postpartum.”
“It is so rare and scary,” said the former actress, who is currently 43 years old.
Postpartum preeclampsia is a rare condition that occurs when the mother has high blood pressure and excess protein in the urine shortly after birth, explained the Mayo clinic.
“You are still trying to juggle all these things, and the world does not know what is happening quietly,” Markle continued.
“And quietly, you are still trying to be present, mainly for your children, yes, but those things are great medical fears,” she added.
Duchess of Sussex and Prince Harry have two children, Archie (5 years) and Lily (3 years).
Meghan Markle's new podcast, “Confessions of a Female Founder” (Confessions of an entrepreneur), is part of her professional transformation.
The former actress became a creator of inspirational content on the lifestyle area. In March he launched a culinary series on Netflix and has an adjacent line of decor products, cookbooks and yoga equipment called “as ever”.
In 2020, Meghan and Harry gave up the duties of British royal family and moved to California.
