The United States will not allow Greenland to become “dependent” on China, said US Secretary Marco Rubio, asked about this Arctic island, an autonomous territory of Denmark and for which Donald Trump's administration forms, AFP informed by Agerpres.
“We will not let China come to give (Greenlands) a lot of money for them to become addicted to China,” Rubio said at the end of a NATO ministerial meeting in Brussels.

In the margin of this NATO ministerial meeting in Brussels, the head of US diplomacy had a meeting with his Danish counterpart Lars Lokke Rasmussen on Thursday. According to his spokesman, he assured that “a strong relationship” connects the two countries.
