This is why the world is more and more favorably looking at the weapon from Israel

In 2015, Israeli Prime Minister Binjamin Netanyahu spoke memorable words. “I was asked if we would always live with a sword in my hand. My answer is: yes” – said the politician. It cannot be denied that his country was always famous for its great armed forces, like the advanced defense industry. Now Israel, however, wants to modify its position a little.

Israel wants to be a key world defendant – the recently reputable Bloomberg website wrote. The state has been known for decades for decades – enough to say that last year it allocated 8.4 percent. Defense GDP.
Israel has a modern defense industry, but it served primarily domestic needs. It is not that the Israeli weapon did not go to export. According to the calculations of the Stockholm International Room Research Institute, approx. 3.1 percent. World weapon exports in 2020-2024 came from Israel, but this is much less than countries such as Germany, Italy and France. Recently, however, acceleration can be seen, and now Israel can become a key supplier of a weapon, also to Europe. There are good chances for several reasons.
A dangerous world, uncertain United States
You do not need to convince anyone how much the sense of security in the world has decreased in recent months. Europe wonders whether it can count on the help of Donald Trump in the event that Russia began to attack NATO countries.
This tells himself to ask similar questions to other traditional US – Japan, South Korea, Taiwan or Australia. The answer to such doubts is usually the statement that you have to arm yourself. However, the question arises: where to arm? Over the past few years, 43 percent The exported weapon came from the USA. Here, however, question marks appear. Military experts believe that Americans can theoretically “turn off” the weapon of their own production – or at least hinder its use.
Such discussions are especially hot in Canada or Denmark. Both countries have recently had extremely tense relations with the USA and both have purchased modern American F-35 fighters. What will happen in the event of a conflict? Will F-35 Danes or Canadians be able to defend themselves against the Americans?
The situation with the F-35 is hindered by the fact that there is no good western competition for this aircraft. However, in Europe or other countries there are questions whether it is not worth diversifying weapons supply. Israel appears here.

As Bloomberg reminds, when Israel hit the Gaza Strip in 2023 (which was the result of the Hamas terrorist attack), the USA, Great Britain and Italy limited exports to this country. This was supposed to be an element of pressure on the binjamin government of Netanyahu to be more prone to peaceful negotiations.
The plan did not quite succeed. Israel, instead of giving in to Western pressure, began to increase the production of his own weapon. To the extent that she produces the most weapons in history and now has so much that he would gladly spend some of the export. Also, paradoxically, to the USA, Italy or Great Britain. Especially the latter country is planning large arms purchases.
It doesn't end with wrestling. The well -known Elbit Systems company puts, for example, production lines of single -tone air bombs. There is a good chance that the production of them will not only go to the internal market.
Not only, however, overproduction of weapons and doubts about the supply of USA play in favor of Israel. The local military industry is considered extremely innovative. In the famous book “Start-Up Nation” by Dana Senor and Saul Singer from 2009, it was described that the key of Israel's technological power is how a strictly civil technology industry cooperate with this military. While in Europe or the US, start-ups develop mainly thanks to private money or grants from “civil” ministries, the army invests in Israel in Israel. Thanks to which he has access to the latest technologies.
It is not surprising that in the use of drones or artificial intelligence on the battlefield, Israel is considered a world leader. On the other hand – especially Europe has a lot to catch up when it comes to military innovations. This is another field where the interests of Israel and the Old Continent can meet.

“Recently ago, companies from Israel have completed tests of advanced technologies for capturing drones at various distances, speeds and heights that the government intends to implement as soon as possible. Elbit claims that it is being investigated F-16 fighters and their pilots during the fight. Such technologies would probably be offered to buyers abroad ” – We also read in Bloomberg.
Such focusing on export, moreover, also raises some surprise among experts. Israel was known for decades that he was reluctant to sell his key weapon abroad. It has never been sold to another country, for example, a Merkawa tank, widely recognized as one of the best in the world.

Of course, Israel has its limitations. He is unable and certainly will not be in the predictable future to offer such a complicated weapon as an alternative to f-35 fighters. On the other hand, the war in Ukraine showed how important drones, new technologies and anti -aircraft defense systems are important on the modern battlefield. And in all of this, Israeli arms companies specialize in.
However, will Israel be able to become a key weapon exporter? Much depends on the policy. In some countries – for example in Great Britain or France – large contracts with Israel may be politically toxic in the context of the situation in the Gaza Strip. So much depends on the development of the geopolitical situation. If Russia is more and more aggressive, the USA is increasingly uncertain – Western countries will need more and more weapons, and its place of production will be less important.
On the other hand – in recent years the export of weapons from Israel to the Czech Republic or Estonia has increased a lot. These countries are afraid of Russia, and Middle Eastern issues are not crucial for them. Israel is also selling more and more to other perspective markets, primarily to India and the Philippines.
So customers will definitely not be missing. And when the world is armoring to the teeth, offers from a country that has been in the war for many decades, can be extremely tempting.
