Meteorologists issued a warning of a strong yellow wind code on Friday, valid on Saturday afternoon in more than half of the country, and an accentuated weather information, until the end of next week.
The strong yellow wind code comes into effect from tomorrow, April 5, at 3 pm and is valid until April 6, at 03.00. Counties from Maramureș, Crișana, Banat, Transylvania, Moldova, northeast Muntenia are targeted, as in the mountain area, where there will be periods in which there will be intensifications of the wind and vijections, with speeds of 50 … 70 km/h.
At high altitudes, generally over 1700 m, the bursts will be 75 … 85 km/h and temporarily will be a blizzard.
Unstable and particularly cold weather in the following days
Also, for the period April 5, at 10:00 – April 7, 6:00 pm, an information of atmospheric instability, mixed rainfall, significant water, wind intensifications, accentuated cooling, haze and frost on the ground was issued.
In the mentioned interval, in most part of the country, there will be rainfall that will be mainly a show and will accumulate the water quantities of 10 … 20 l/sqm and isolated 30 … 40 l/sqm.
On Saturday there will be rain, electric discharges, vigils and hail insulated in the northern half of the territory. From Saturday night to Sunday, the weather will cool down, and the rains will expand and gradually turn into snow and snow, at first in the mountain, then in low relief areas. Especially in the mountain and submontane area the snow layer will be deposited, on average 10… .15 cm.
In most regions, the wind will have intensifications, with general speeds of 40 … 50 km/h.
The nights and mornings will become particularly cold, with mainly negative temperatures. The minimum temperatures will generally be between -7 and 2 degrees. Local haze and frost on the ground will occur.
Meteorologists notes that the weather will stay particularly cold, temporarily will be mixed precipitation and wind intensifications, until the end of next week.
