Ionuț Lupescu, message for Mircea Lucescu: “Even at this age you make mistakes”
The former midfielder of the national team commented on the situation and had a sincere speech on the Digi Sport Special show:
“It's certainly not great news and I wish him good health and, at least now, at 80 years old, let him come to his senses and calm down.
Even at the match against Turkey, if you looked at his figure, it wasn't the figure I knewand and maybe since then someone should have sounded the alarm. I think it's good to finish his mandate once and take care of his health, he can help Romanian football even if he's not on the bench.
What I learned from last year is that, even at this age, you make mistakes. I mean mistakes in decisions. The decision he made in this campaign was not what he or all of us would have wanted. In the last year, I think, he was very irascible in his relationship with the press, in particular, and I think that's where his illness started and exploded. And he doesn't deserve this.”
