In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the use of drones has been simplified for farmers

In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, an experimental legal regime for the use of agricultural drones began to operate on May 30. This was reported by the Ministry of Digital Development of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

The new conditions allowed agricultural enterprises to use agricultural drones without some of the redundant requirements that apply to civil aviation. We are talking, in particular, about simplifying the mandatory certification of aircraft and the rules for admitting unmanned aircraft to operation.

Drones with a maximum take-off weight of up to 300 kg, which fly over a distance of no more than 5 km, will be exempt from the mandatory installation of transceivers for location tracking. Control services will receive information about flights through a system for providing flight plans via the Internet.

The procedure for temporary registration of unmanned aircraft systems will also begin to operate. The changes will also affect sanitary requirements. The minimum distance from populated areas when cultivating fields with agrodrones will be reduced from 2 km to 700 m. In addition, excessive requirements for airfield infrastructure will be abolished.

The experimental legal regime for agricultural drones will be valid until September 26, 2029. Previously, such a regime had already been introduced in a number of regions of Russia. This year they were joined by the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Irkutsk, Kaliningrad, Tomsk, Omsk and Chelyabinsk regions.

The development of unmanned aircraft in the region is carried out within the framework of the national project “Unmanned Aviation Systems”.
