Trump's sharp interview in NBC: peace in Ukraine, conquest of Greenland and the issue of Canada

US President Donald Trump said in an interview at NBC on Sunday that one of the parties is closer to the agreement on the end of the war in Ukraine than the second. Trump also did not rule out that he can use force to take Greenland, although he cannot imagine such a scenario in the case of Canada.

He also declared support in the training of Ukrainian pilots of F-16 aircraft. He also stated that the possible sending of soldiers to the territory of Ukraine could be talked about after the conclusion of an agreement on the suspension of weapons. He emphasized that it is in the direct interest of the Czech Republic that the result of peace negotiations was not such that the aggressor would be rewarded, and the victim – Ukraine – will be punished. He assured that Prague would support Ukraine in her aspirations for membership in the European Union and the North Atlantic Alliance.

The President of Ukraine flew to Prague just before noon on Sunday. The visit to the last moment was kept in full secrecy. For safety reasons, the area of the entire castle hill, i.e. Hradczans, was closed to tourists, where the headquarters of the head of state is located. Extraordinary security measures in Prague will also last on Monday, when the President of Ukraine meet with Prime Minister Petre Fiała and parliament leaders.
