Oliver Tree is dead. The singer died in a plane crash

As reported by the AFP agency, citing information from the Brazilian fire brigade, six people died as a result of the collision of two helicopters in the Recreio dos Bandeirantes area, in the southwestern part of Rio de Janeiro. After the collision, the helicopters crashed into the car dealership's parking lot, causing a fire that damaged at least 20 vehicles. It has not yet been determined what caused the accident.
CNN Brasil reported that among the dead was American singer Oliver Tree, who came to Brazil as part of his “World's First World Tour”.

Oliver Tree Nickell was born on June 29, 1993 in Santa Cruz, California. He was a singer, music producer, director and performer, creating at the intersection of pop, rock, electronics and hip-hop.
He studied business at the University of San Francisco for two years. In 2017, his song “When I'm Down” became viral, thanks to which the young musician signed a contract with Atlantic Records.
In 2020, Tree released his debut studio album “Ugly Is Beautiful”. He gained international recognition thanks to the songs “Life Goes On” from 2021 and “Miss You” from 2022, which gained several hundred million views on YouTube.
In 2022, the artist's second album “Cowboy Tears” was released, and in 2023 – “Alone in a Crowd”. In April 2026, Tree released the album “Love You Madly Hate You Badly”, which he promoted as part of the “World's First World Tour”. According to the schedule posted on his official website, after Brazil, the musician planned to visit Europe. In July he was to perform, among others: in Lisbon, Barcelona, Milan and Vienna, and in September – in Paris, Brussels, Berlin, Copenhagen and at Progresja in Warsaw.
In previous years, Tree has been heard at music festivals such as Coachella, Lollapalooza and the Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival. His performances combined music, skits and performances.
He died at the age of 32.
