The Minister of Climate, Paulina Hennig-Kloska, was asked about the deposit system in an interview with Radio ZET. The head of the ministry assessed that the system was working and more and more bottles were being returned. — I'm glad it works. We are systematically improving logistics, she said.
The minister was also asked about reports of the possible introduction of a tax on bottles that were found and not purchased. – I deny it. We are not working on any changes to tax law, assured Hennig-Kloska. She emphasized that there is no such tax and it is not planned.

— We have the right to return bottles that we find, we have the right to return bottles that someone gave us, and no tax will be charged on them, the politician emphasized.
Hennig-Kloska explained that only VAT is paid on the unreturned deposit. It is paid by operators in their settlement, “as professional business entities”. The head of the ministry calls reports about any other taxes “typical disinformation”. – I understand that threatening to tax those who collect these bottles is one of the elements of disinformation – she said.
