Employees of the Krasnoyarsk traffic police regiment held a driver administratively liable for driving on the sidewalk in a microdistrict Preobrazhensky.

It all happened on the morning of April 16 — a Nissan car was moving along a pedestrian area, where at that time there were people, including children riding bicycles. The offender was filmed and published on social networks. The incident caused a public outcry. The police identified the driver – he turned out to be a 72-year-old local resident who works in a taxi.
“During the conversation, the man admitted that he did not remember the reason for his action, explaining that he spends a lot of time driving every day. This driver behavior is a gross violation of traffic rules and creates a real threat to road users. A protocol was drawn up against him under Part 2 of Article 12.15 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation, the sanction of which includes a fine of 2,000 rubles,” the traffic police said.
