Self-harvesting of strawberries in Poland. The farmer gave the price per kilogram

Strawberry season is in full swing. Fruit can be purchased not only in stores, but also during self-harvests organized by farmers throughout the country. Those interested can take advantage of the offer of Mrs. Marianna, who invites you to her fields in Kiernozie (Łódź Voivodeship) and Brzozów (Mazowieckie Voivodeship).
The farmer offers fresh strawberries of Rumba, Verdi and Faith varieties. As he emphasizes, the fruit comes from his own, multi-generational plantation and there are no residues of plant protection products on them. During self-harvesting, she pays PLN 15 per kilogram of strawberries.

Strawberries “fall on the trunk”. Fruit from these countries is the cheapest
As Maciej Kmera, a wholesale market expert from the fruit and vegetable exchange in Bronisze near Warsaw, recently told “Fakt”, strawberries are “going flat” and each delivery disappears immediately. In the morning, farmers sell the fruit picked the previous day, and in the afternoon – freshly picked fruit. His report shows that in the near future, with higher temperatures, the supply of these fruits may increase dramatically.
At the beginning of May, strawberries were valued at over PLN 30 per 1 kg. However, as they arrived, prices began to drop steadily. Currently, they range from approximately PLN 20 to PLN 25/kg, depending on the variety, quality of the product and current demand. Strawberries from Greece or Serbia are currently much cheaper.
