Szymon Hołownia explains the words about the coup. “Political diagnosis”

On Friday, Szymon Hołownia in Polsat News said that he was repeatedly suggested that he delay the swearing in to Karol Nawrocki as president of the Republic of Poland and thus made a “coup.” When asked who made these proposals, he talked about people who “did not like the result of the presidential election”.
He referred to this statement of the Polish Leader 2050 on Saturday, among others Prime Minister Donald Tusk. – Recently we have examples [które pokazują]how frivolous behavior or frivolous words can give birth to very serious consequences. When we let children go on vacation, we tell them: “Don't make stupid things, because stupidity can turn into a drama.” In politics it is exactly the same – said Tusk. He added that political gestures or careless, frivolous or immature decisions may have very serious consequences “for people and for entire countries”.
On Saturday afternoon, Hołownia on a private Facebook account explained what his intentions were when he talked about the “coup.”
“Not in the legal sense”
“I see that there is a need, so I explain that I used the” coup d'état “in yesterday's” guest of events “, like many times earlier, not in the legal sense – which was clearly emphasized in the conversation – and a political diagnosis, a description of the situation in which there is serious destabilization of the state and undermining the principles of democracy,” wrote Hołownia.

He added that from the second round of the presidential election by Karol Nawrocki, “in public space he has repeatedly formulated expectations against him so as not to recognize the verdict of voters, not convene the National Assembly in order to swear on President Elekt or make obstructions by announcing in the congregation of breaks, the unconstitutional takeover of the duties of the President or finally – ordering new elections.”
“I responded to all these suggestions in the public, unambiguously and in accordance with the law: the presidential election is entitled to a presumption of validity, it is necessary to explain all cases of irregularities in the electoral process by prosecutor's proceedings, there are no factual and legal grounds to fail the National Assembly and taking the oath from the newly elected President of the Republic of Poland” – emphasized the Marshal of the Sejm.
He added that “the stability of state institutions, the continuity of power and sovereignty over the armed forces are values that – especially in the current situation – must not be undermined.” “And all attempts to question them, and thus to destabilize the state, like the unanimous coalition leaders in this matter on October 15, I strongly oppose and I will continue to oppose,” said Hołownia.
“Do not look for conspiracies where they are not”
He also pointed out that almost two months have passed since the presidential election. “I appeal to both sides of the political dispute, so as not to look for conspiracies where they are not, on the other – do not undermine the democratic verdict of voters, regardless of what emotions arouse,” the Polish leader 2050 concluded the entry.
In an interview with PAP, the head of the Polska 2050 club Paweł Śliz also pointed out that there were voices in the media so that the Speaker of the Sejm would not take the swearing in from Karol Nawrocki, but that he would take over the “reins” as the second person in the state. At the same time, the head of the Polska 2050 club assured that in none of his statements Hołownia accused any of the coalition parties.
On June 1, in the second round of presidential elections, supported by PiS Karol Nawrocki, winning 50.89 percent. votes, defeated Ko Rafał Trzaskowski's candidate, who obtained 49.11 percent.
Last Saturday, the decision of the Speaker of the Sejm was published in the Polish Monitor regarding the convening of the National Assembly in order to take the oath by the newly elected President of the Republic of Poland. The National Assembly will be held in the Sejm meeting room on August 6.
