An image of Donald and Melania Trump surprised in the presidential helicopter has made the world around. After a visit full of incidents to the UN, the rooms surprised a tense conversation between the two, amplifying the speculation about the atmosphere behind the closed doors of the White House.

Donald Trump and his wife, Melania, were the protagonists of a moment that became quickly viral, the two being filmed while they had a tense conversation on the presidential helicopter Marine One, immediately after returning from the UN General Assembly, held in New York.
The images show a heated discussion between the former US president and the first lady. Melania, 55, seems visibly irritated: she gestures intensely and nods in disapproval, while Donald Trump, apparently disturbed, lifts her finger, in a gesture interpreted by many as an attempt to interrupt her.
After this scene, however, the two went down the helicopter on the southern lawn of the White House, holding hands, while Donald Trump greeted the reporters present.
Incidents during the UN visit
But the tensions were not limited to the interior of Marine One. The visit to the UN headquarters was marked by several unusual incidents.
At the entrance to the building, Melania and Donald Trump remained temporarily stuck on a rolling staircase that stopped, an incident that fueled conspiracy theories, especially among American conservatives.
“The UN should be destroyed in order not to make the president look bad,” said Jesse Watters, Fox News presenter.
The United Nations officials explained, however, that the situation was created by a videographer from the US Delegation, which mistakenly pressed the rolling staircase button.
The technical problems continued just before Trump's speech, when the telepropter blocked. While the world leaders were following him, the president took a embarrassing break for almost 15 seconds, then joked: “I can only say that the one who deals with the Teleprompter has given a great trouble.”
The speech itself was a tough one, with nationalist accents, marking attacks on immigration and severely criticizing European leadership.
“We have to put an end to the failed experiment of the open borders. Your countries are going. (…) You want to be polite and politically correct, but you destroy your inheritance ”, he accused him of European leaders.
The United Nations did not escape the reproaches either.
“What is the purpose of the United Nations? Do nothing to stop the wars than to write a pathetic letter or two. The empty words do not resolve conflicts. Everything I received from the UN was a broken scale and a defective telepropter“, Donald Trump said.
As a result of the incidents, the former president asked for an investigation into what he called a “triple sabotage”: “The rolling staircase, the telepropter and the audio system” that gave up in the key moments at the UN.
