Krasnoyarsk triathlon veterans took three gold medals at international competitions

Krasnoyarsk triathlon veterans Valery Podlesny, Iskandar Shakhov and Sergey Khazov performed successfully at international competitions in Asia and Europe. The regional Ministry of Sports spoke about this.

Valery Podlesny and Ikandar Shakhov won the prestigious Ironman 70.3 Shanghai competition in their age groups – 65-69 years old and 70-74 years old, respectively. They showed the best results in the race, which included a 1.9 km swim, a 90 km bike leg and 21 km of running. Both winners qualified for the World Championships, which will be held in September in Nice (France).

Two more representatives of the Krasnoyarsk Territory – Vladimir Musienko (65-69 years old) and Anastasia Ekzarchova (25-29 years old) – were in the top five in other age categories.

Sergey Khazov won the title of world champion according to Challenge Family in the age category of 40-44 years in Shamorin (Slovakia). With a result of 4:00.48, he left behind Cypriot Andreas Iafas (4:03.24), who became the silver medalist. Slovakian Tomas Zlnay won bronze (4:08.03).

Let us remind you that the City Equestrian Cup recently ended in Krasnoyarsk. The competition took place at the equestrian sports complex of the Krasnoyarsk State Agrarian University. 30 athletes from Krasnoyarsk took part in the preliminary races. The 11 strongest participants reached the finals.
