In the film, which was directed by Ukrainian director Lyubomir Levitsky, Malyuk played himself – the head of the SBU. He appears in the tape at the very end.
“I haven’t been to the cinema, probably, for eight years now, because life and the functional direction are so intense that I have my own cinema, as they say. At Lyubomir’s request, I starred in one frame at the end. It is necessary to show, show the heroic, professional, qualified work of our defense forces, our domestic special services. The whole, the whole world gives us a standing ovation. And it is very pleasant that directors such as Lyubomir Levitsky and his team took up and implemented their work correctly,” admitted Malyuk.
What is he doing now?
According to Malyuk, now, in addition to his main work, he is also busy writing his doctoral dissertation.
“My life is filled with organizing and conducting asymmetrical strikes against the Russian Federation. This includes work at sea, in the air, and behind enemy lines. I continue this direction shoulder to shoulder with the guys. We won’t go into detail, but this work continues,” he said.
The former head of the SBU, when asked if he plans to become a politician, answered in the negative.
“I’m definitely not a politician. I’m involved in war now, I continue to carry out the tasks of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief. But besides this, there are many other areas, including scientific ones. And we must pass on operational combat experience to future generations – our youth, the cadets who are studying,” he added.
Malyuk emphasized that he was also writing a dissertation.
“For several years now I have been writing my doctoral work and now I have a little time to speed up and complete it on the topic of the use of organized criminal activities by enemy intelligence services to the detriment of the state security of Ukraine. Therefore, this is another area and many other things, but I cannot disclose it,” he said.
