SGK restored 45 city sites after repairs to heating systems in Krasnoyarsk

Siberian Generating Company continues to clean up the areas after repairs to heating networks in Krasnoyarsk. To date, 45 plots have been fully landscaped. Currently, work is underway at 6 addresses in different areas of the city.

The order of restoration work is determined according to several criteria. First of all, the SGC brings into the normative state areas with high traffic, areas near roads, public transport stops, and social facilities. The timing of the completion of repairs, the condition of the foundation, weather conditions, safety requirements and the ability to complete the work without compromising quality are also taken into account.

At the same time, some areas cannot be closed immediately after replacing pipelines. Restoration of asphalt, lawns and other elements of the urban environment depends on the season, air temperature, soil conditions and technological requirements. These factors are especially important when there is a large volume of repair campaigns: starting from 2020, SGK is implementing a large-scale modernization of the heat supply system in Krasnoyarsk. During this time, more than 300 kilometers of heating networks have been renewed in the city, and another 55 kilometers are planned for renovation this year.

With such volumes, some repairs continue until late autumn, when the weather no longer allows for quality asphalt laying, restoring lawns or performing other landscaping elements.

“I can say with confidence that wherever we carried out repairs, we will definitely return the areas to their former appearance. For residents, not only the network repair itself is important, but also the condition of the yards, sidewalks and roads after its completion. Therefore, the restoration of territories remains a separate priority for us. Now specialists are closing sites where this is possible due to technology and weather conditions, and also continue to monitor other addresses,” said Sergei Ivanov, director of the Krasnoyarsk Heating Network (a branch of the Yenisei TGC, a division of the SGC in the Yenisei Siberia region).

At the same time, the company emphasizes: the improvement is the final stage of a lot of work, the main goal of which is to increase the reliability of heat supply to Krasnoyarsk and reduce the burden on the environment. It is for this purpose that SGC has been consistently updating the city’s heating infrastructure over the past five years.

The results of a lot of work have already been appreciated by Krasnoyarsk residents. The last three heating seasons in Krasnoyarsk passed without serious incidents on heating networks, despite the fact that last winter was very cold, and the temperature remained around minus 40 degrees for a long time. And the closure of 37 small boiler houses, which became possible thanks to the renovation of the heat supply system, together with the modernization of the thermal power plant, made it possible to reduce emissions by 8,700 tons.
