Rotaru from Craiova can strike the blow of the summer: 2 million euros for a player watched in Europe
Craiova University has serious reasons to dream of an exceptional season in the 2025-2026 edition. After the triumph in the Romanian Cup, the team from Bănie now aims to attack the Superliga title as well.

One of the players who has caught the eye this season is Ukrainian centre-back Oleksandr Romanchuk. At 26 years old, he is seen by several specialists as one of the most valuable defenders in Romania's domestic championship.
His performances did not go unnoticed
In the summer mercato, there could be big offers for his transfer. In the event of a separation after the end of the season, Craiova University could collect around two million euros, an amount close to the player's market value, according to the information published by sport.ro.
Oleksandr Romanchuk had a very good season in Craiova, managing to make 47 official appearances in all competitions, scoring six goals and two assists. He played the most matches in the Superliga, where he appeared in 23 games in the regular season and in eight other play-off matches.
Prepare for transfer
A possible parting with the Ukrainian international could represent an extremely profitable deal for the club from Banie. The University of Craiova transferred him last summer from Kryvbas for 750,000 euros, and in the meantime the share and interest in the defender has grown considerably.
Even if his agreement with the Oltean formation is valid until 2028, the club's management is considering the possibility of a transfer in case an important, solid offer appears.
