The territory of the special economic zone “Alabuga” in Tatarstan (the aggressor country of the Russian Federation), where the Russians produce drones, expanded by 340 hectares over the year. The Russian service Radio Liberty reported this on May 9.

Journalists compared satellite images from May 2025 and 2026.

Construction of new hangars continues in the northern part of Alabuga. Also, over the year, the Russians completed the construction of new residential and industrial premises in the central part of the complex, the media writes.

In April, active construction work also began on an area of more than 450 hectares south of Alabuga, on the other side of the M-12 Vostok federal highway, which runs next to the zone, the media notes. Also visible in the photographs is another road leading from this highway to the special economic zone.
