The women's women's team was eliminated from Europe Cup right from the first round, being defeated by Koge with a score of 6-2 in general.
After being eliminated from the Champions League, the Lighthouse won the dam and thus arrived in Europe Cup, in the first round meeting the Danes from Koge.
Lighthouse, eliminated from both European competitions this season
Initially, after the tour match, the Lighthouse still had hopes for qualifying in round 2, being defeated with 2-3. However, a week away, on their own ground, the formation of Constanța lost the return match.
In the match on Wednesday, the Lighthouse failed to score any goals, in Ovidiu, but received 3 from the team from Denmark.
Since the beginning of the match in Constanța, the Lighthouse was driven, the first goal being scored in the 2nd minute, by Rikke Madsen. The score at the break was 0-1.
Koge did not stop just a goal, and in the 53rd minute Mwanalima Jereko scored the 2-0. Emilie Luplau was the one who scored the last Go, in the 63rd minute.
Raluca Sârghe, the coach of the lighthouse, chose to make the first two changes in the 77th minute, the next two in 83 and the last in 89, but they did not lead to the score. Thus, the Romanian champion was eliminated from both European competitions this season.
Europe Cup is new competition established by UEFA. This is the first edition in history. In this competition there are no groups, but only eliminatory phases: tour 1, tour 2, optimal, quarters, semifinals, final. All phases, including the final, have a double leg.
