A Krasnoyarsk resident was sentenced to 14 years in prison for violence against his stepdaughter, who was 12 years old.

The Leninsky District Court of Krasnoyarsk sentenced a man who, for several months, committed sexual assault against his wife’s daughter. At the time of the crimes, the girl was under 12 years old.
As the investigation established, the stepfather took advantage of the child’s helpless state, as well as the fact that no one was watching his actions. He committed crimes at home while intoxicated.
In court, he partially admitted guilt, repented, but disputed the number of episodes. He cited poor memory due to intoxication.
The court found him guilty and sentenced him to 14 years in prison in a maximum security colony with an additional restriction of freedom for another year and a half. The verdict has not yet entered into legal force.
