New severe weather alerts. ANM announces heavy rains and hail in several counties. MAP of the targeted areas

The weather is unstable this weekend. Meteorologists on Saturday issued two yellow code alerts for quantitatively significant rain and hail, valid until Sunday morning.

The first yellow code alert for significant amounts of water, atmospheric instability is in effect until tonight, at 10 p.m.

Targeted are most of Oltenia and Transylvania, northwest Muntenia, north and west Moldova and locally in the Southern and Eastern Carpathians.

Here, there will be periods of atmospheric instability, which will be manifested by torrential downpours, electrical discharges, isolated wind intensifications (gusts of 40…50 km/h) and hail. In short time intervals (3 hours) or through accumulation, the water quantities will be 15…25 l/m2 and isolated 30…50 l/m2.

ANM warns that phenomena of atmospheric instability will also be reported in the rest of the areas, but in limited areas.

Later, the rains subside, and from 10:00 p.m. until tomorrow, at 10:00 a.m., another yellow code comes into effect, which will affect counties in the north and west of Moldova and locally in the Eastern Carpathians.

Here, there will be showers that will accumulate amounts of water of 20…40 l/m2.
