In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, a court sentenced a woman to real time in a colony who agreed to help scammers in search of work.
The joint press service of the courts said that in October 2025, a resident of Minusinsk left a message under a video on TikTok that she was looking for work. Soon she was offered a job working 3-4 hours a day. They promised to pay 5-7 thousand rubles daily.
The essence of the proposed work was that the “employer” would send an address in the messenger where they had to come by taxi, introduce themselves with a fictitious name and collect money from the person, which they would then deposit into accounts transferred by the customer. The woman agreed to such a part-time job because she needed money and had four dependent children.
As a result, the woman became part of a standard scam scheme with a call from an investigator and an allegedly injured relative. The victim of the scammers was an 85-year-old resident of Minusinsk, who was offered to pay 2 million rubles for the operation of her “granddaughter injured in an accident.” The frightened pensioner said that she only had 200 thousand rubles, which she handed over to the courier.
“The woman took money from an elderly woman in the amount of 200,000 rubles, which she was supposed to transfer to a bank account indicated to her by a person unidentified during the investigation. However, due to the lack of technical capabilities of her mobile phone, this was not possible. For the work performed, she kept 5,000 rubles from the stolen funds as a reward in accordance with a previously reached agreement,” the press service said.
As a result, the courier of the scammers was found guilty of fraud (Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The court sentenced her to imprisonment for a period of 4 years to be served in a general regime correctional colony. She will serve the actual sentence after her youngest child turns 14, the court said. The verdict has not yet entered into legal force.
