Today, November 30, Krasnoyarsk residents noticed a solar halo in the sky above the city. Photos of the optical phenomenon filled the Internet.
A secondary glow around the sun, resembling a ring or arc, most often occurs in frosty weather with high humidity.
Folk omens say that a solar halo is a sure sign of worsening weather.
Let us remind you that on the last autumn weekend in Krasnoyarsk there was a “collapse” of cold weather. Thermometers dropped to −24, −30 °C.
However, next week, according to forecasters, the weather in Krasnoyarsk should improve. On the first day of winter, a frost of 20 degrees is expected, and from Tuesday, December 2, the air temperature will rise sharply: during the day it will be from −5 to −2 °C, at night – from −10 to −3 °C.
