Krasnoyarsk was convicted of fraud with the apartment of her husband who died in the Northern Military District

The prosecutor's office has charged a resident of Krasnoyarsk with fraud resulting in deprivation of rights for residential premises.

It was established that in May 2023, the woman’s husband, preparing to be sent to the Northern Military District zone, issued a notarized power of attorney for her, granting a wide range of powers. In October of the same year, the woman received notice of the death of her husband and, according to investigators, at the same moment she had a criminal plan.

“She decided to use a power of attorney, which automatically lost its legal force after the man’s death. Using an invalid document, the woman prepared a fictitious contract for the sale and purchase of an apartment located in the Kirovsky district of Krasnoyarsk. She was able to register this transaction with the PKK Roskadastre, after which the ownership of the deceased husband’s home was illegally transferred to her relative. The amount of damage caused to the heirs of the deceased amounted to 3.2 million rubles,” the prosecutor’s office said.

The woman was prosecuted under Part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. Case The case will be considered by the Central District Court of Krasnoyarsk.
