Context
Ukraine and Russia, with the mediation of the United States, are conducting trilateral negotiations to end the war. Several meetings took place in January and February in Abu Dhabi and Geneva.
On March 6, US President Donald Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff said he expected additional progress in the negotiations in the coming weeks.
However Due to the military operation that Israel and the United States launched against Iran on February 28, the negotiations had to be postponed. The media reported that the next round could be held on March 11 in Istanbul, but it was postponed due to the priority attention of the American side to the situation around Iran.
