Serious accident on DN7, in Vâlcea: a car was projected next to the railway. Several victims, one resuscitated at the scene
A serious road accident occurred on DN7, in Racovita township, Vâlcea county. Three cars collided. Following the impact, one of the vehicles, registered in Sibiu, was projected near a railway. There are three victims, and one of them (the driver of the car with Sibiu license plates) is unconscious and resuscitated on the spot.

The intervention crews found that one person remained incarcerated. The rescuers intervened urgently to extract the victim, who was handed over to the medical crews unconscious. Resuscitation maneuvers were immediately started at the scene, according to the information provided by IPJ Vâlcea.
Also, a SMURD helicopter from Dolj County was requested to manage the situation.
From the first checks, the investigators determined that a 53-year-old man from Ilfov County had entered the opposite direction of travel, colliding head-on with a car driven by a 27-year-old man from Sibiu County. As a result of the impact, the car driven by the latter was thrown near the railway.
The accident resulted in the injury of the 27-year-old driver, a 23-year-old passenger in the same car, as well as another passenger in the other vehicle involved.
“On DN 7 Râmnicu Vâlcea-Sibiu, near the town of Tuțuleşti, Vâlcea county, there was a road accident in which three vehicles were involved, one of them being projected outside the roadway, near the railway. Road traffic is stopped in both directions and normal traffic is expected to resume after 16:00”. transmits the Infotraffic Center of the Romanian Police.
The traffic police, together with the firefighters, intervene on the scene to provide first aid, manage the situation and direct traffic.
The authorities advise drivers to drive with caution, adjust their speed to the road conditions and follow the directions of the police in the area. The investigation is ongoing to establish the exact circumstances of the accident.
