United Russia continues to register candidates to participate in the preliminary vote

The United Russia party continues to register candidates to participate in the preliminary vote. During the three weeks of preliminary voting, the United Russia party in the Krasnoyarsk Territory registered 116 candidates: 16 for the State Duma level, 100 people for the election of deputies of the Legislative Assembly.

The winners will be determined by the residents of the region; they will become the party's candidates in the upcoming elections to the Legislative Assembly and the State Duma, which will be held in September.

Current politicians take part in the preliminary voting: deputies of the Legislative Assembly and the State Duma. During the reg week, documents were submitted by the deputy chairman of the committee on industry and trade of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, a member of the party commission for the development of Siberia, and regional coordinator of the presidential working group on the northwestern region, Alexander Drozdov. He has been on the United Russia team since 2017. Over five years, seven new schools and kindergartens were built in his district, and 41 institutions were overhauled. 31 public spaces, 20 cultural and sports facilities have been improved. He intends to continue working:

“During the five years of work in the State Duma, we managed to do a lot and help specific people. The orders remain, I see many issues that need to be resolved. I feel the support of my fellow countrymen and am confident that with the accumulated experience I can effectively solve the problems at hand. Therefore, I decided to take part in the preliminary voting.”

Non-party citizens of Russia and those with no political experience can try their hand and propose ideas as candidates for the new people’s program. Young people actively participate, 12% of participants are under 35 years old. Documents for participation in the procedure were submitted by Victor Kabanov, a student of the Krasnoyarsk State Pedagogical University from Divnogorsk. He actively takes part in the life of the city, heads the local branch of the “Young Guard of United Russia” and the “Gagarintsy” search squad.

“I believe that preliminary voting is a definite opportunity to express yourself, test your strength, gain new experience and understand whether your initiatives resonate with people,” said Viktor Kabanov.

Veterans of the Northern Military District are taking part in the preliminary voting; at the moment, five members of the Northern Military District have nominated their candidacies. They are provided with preferences – 25% of the result obtained, the opportunity for training and support at the site of the Higher Party School. Hero of the Russian Federation, commander of the Cossack battalion “Siberia” Oleg Likontsev takes part in the procedure. He is a native of Kansk, comes from a hereditary Cossack family, served in the internal affairs bodies, and was involved in the patriotic education of youth. I volunteered for the Northern Military District, was a sniper, then a senior sniper, then an instructor, and then the commander of a rifle company of snipers, and ended up as a battalion commander.

The detachment under his leadership carried out combat missions in the most difficult areas. He was wounded several times, now he continues his patriotic work in his hometown and provides humanitarian assistance to the Northern Military District soldiers. He explained his decision by the desire to be useful to his hometown, region and country:

“The war taught me to be a team player, no matter how many times I storm a building alone, I won’t take it. It takes a team to win. And only as a team can you promote your ideas and achieve a lot. Unfortunately, due to my health, I can no longer carry out combat missions. But now I must do good deeds both for myself and for my fallen brothers. Leaving behind something good and useful on earth is the highest mission for me.”

The winners will be chosen by residents of the region. Voter registration will begin on April 20 and end on May 29, 2026. Voting will take place from May 25 to May 31 in electronic format with identification confirmation through the State Services portal. Any resident who has a residence permit in the Krasnoyarsk Territory can take part in the election of candidates.
