In July, a decisive moment sets in: cabbage chooses what to do – to form a dense forks or to continue to build up the tops. If you miss this stage, the crop can upset. This is where the yeast cocktail comes to the rescue – he launches the growth of heads of heads even in the heat for 30 degrees.
Why yeast? They activate useful soil bacteria, which turn nutrients into a form available to the roots of cabbage. The yeast saturate the cabbage with vitamins and help it tie dense heads. For feeding, you will need 50 – 100 g of living yeast (or 10 – 15 g of dry) and 2 tablespoons of sugar per 10 liters of warm water (about 20 – 25 degrees). You need to mix everything and leave it for 2 to 3 hours before the appearance of foam, and then the solution is diluted 8 to 10 times with water and watered 1 – 1.5 liters for each plant in the morning or evening.
It is worth feeding in the first two weeks of July, after removing the arrows, but no later than the 10th. It is necessary to water in small grooves with a depth of 3 – 4 cm, about 15 cm from the stem so that the nutrient solution falls directly to the roots. After the groove is covered with earth.
