On October 3, a round table was held in Odesa “Sexual violence during war: legal and psychological aspects”organized by the SAFE charitable foundation and a public organization Soft Power.
The event brought together lawyers, psychologists, doctors, representatives of the authorities, the police and the public sector. Among the participants are Yulia Fomina, Oleksandra Mykolyuk, Svitlana Halych, Andriy Pashkivskyi, Valentina Onufriychuk, Anna Velychko, Iryna Matviychuk, Serhiy Radosh, Viktoriya Chalova, Oksana Poltorak and Tatyana Semikop.
The event reminded once again: sexual violence is not just a difficult topic, but a deep social wound, which is still difficult to talk about. Fear, shame and stigma often stand in the way of honest dialogue and justice.
