The minister also indicated that as a market leader, Orlen sets trends that influence the entire industry. He emphasized that the government is consistently striving to reduce fuel prices.
— We are calm, these changes will translate into real price reductions. We do this consistently, stabilize prices and set standards for other market participants – added Balczun.
Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced that it is planned to introduce maximum retail fuel prices before Christmas. These actions will include reducing the VAT rate to 8%. and reducing excise tax rates to minimum levels. The Prime Minister also announced the preparation of a tax on excess profits of fuel companies.
