From the north from Friday to Saturday until the end of voting in the presidential election on Sunday at 21.00 election silence will last. You will not be able to publish polls and agitate for candidates, and the ban also applies on the Internet. There is a fine for breaking silence, up to PLN 1 million.

The presidential election will take place on Sunday, voting will last from 7.00 to 21.00

The election silence starts 24 hours before the day of voting – that is, at midnight from Friday to Saturday, and lasts until its completion. If none of the peripheral electoral commissions extend the vote, the election silence will end on Sunday at 21.

Voting can be extended as a result of extraordinary events, i.e. flooding of the polling station, construction, communication disasters or the need to print voting cards. It is about obstacles that make it difficult or paralyze the work of the regional electoral commission and exclude or seriously limit the reach of voters to the polling station.

The election silence is violated by every element of active election agitation, i.e. public invelation or encouraging to vote. During the election silence, you must not convene gatherings, organize marches and demonstrations, give speeches or distribute election materials. Encouraging the election does not violate the election silence unless it contains elements of election agitation for one of the candidates.

Posters hung before starting the election silence do not have to be broken. However, you must not drive vehicles covered with electoral posters, however, the wrapped vehicle can stand. Also, you can't agate on the Internet.

Agitation in the polling station in which he is located is also forbidden, including on displaying symbols, paintings, signs and inscriptions associated with candidates and election committees.

During the election silence it is forbidden to make public results of surveys.

There is a fine for breaking the prohibition of agitation during election silence.

For the publication of surveys during the election silence, the fine is from 500 thousand. PLN up to PLN 1 million. It is both pre -election polls regarding the anticipated voters' behavior, election results and polls conducted on the day of voting.

The PKW at the same time points out that whether something is a breaking of the prohibition of electoral agitation can only be decided by law enforcement and courts, and the voter who considers that the election silence has been violated should report it directly to the police. (PAP)
