Nicusor Dan proposes the former prime minister Dacian Cioloş for the leadership of an international organization

President Nicusor Dan announced on Monday, March 23, that Romania supports former prime minister Dacian Cioloş for the position of secretary general of the International Organization of La Francophonie.

Dacian Cioloş, former European Commissioner, is Romania's candidate for the position of Secretary General of the International Organization of La Francophonie, according to Agerpres.
The announcement was made by President Nicusor Dan at the event organized on the occasion of the International Francophonie Day.
A “constructive” candidacy
The head of state emphasized that it is a candidacy “constructive“, oriented towards the future and has the vocation to bring together.
President Nicușor Dan stated that for our country, francophone is “a choice assumed for a long time” and it is “a true added value that is also reflected from an economic point of view”.
Moreover, Nicusor Dan reiterated that Romania is “one of the main supporters of institutional Francophonie”.
