“Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and I have issued an order for the Israel Defense Forces to immediately destroy all bridges over the Litani River that are used for terrorist activities,” Kac said on the X platform.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) earlier said nine Hezbollah fighters were killed in fighting in southern Lebanon on Saturday. According to the IDF, the militants were detected as they approached a unit of Israeli soldiers.

The military and the Shin Bet, the service responsible for counterintelligence and internal security, quoted by Israeli media on Sunday, reported that last week, a high-ranking Hamas fighter, Walid Mohammad Dib, responsible for financing this organization, was killed in an Israeli attack in Lebanon.

Tension in the Middle East is not decreasing

The armed forces and the Shin Bet believe Dib was involved in funneling funds to various Hamas departments in Lebanon, the West Bank and elsewhere, as well as “recruiting agents and directing terrorist activities from Syria and Lebanon.”

Israel and the United States have been at war with Iran since February 28. In retaliation, pro-Iranian Hezbollah attacked Israel in early March, to which the country's army responded with massive airstrikes on various parts of Lebanon. The declared goal of the operation is the complete destruction of Hezbollah. The government in Beirut banned Hezbollah from conducting military operations in March, but the organization refused to lay down its weapons.

The Lebanese Ministry of Health published information on Thursday showing that over a thousand people have been killed in Israel's aggression against Lebanon.
