“The International Monetary Fund has just raised the GDP growth forecast for Poland in 2026 by 0.4 percentage points, i.e. to 3.5. This means that Poland will be the fastest growing economy among large EU countries this year. This is largely due to KPO – i.e. development investments, which are one of the key drivers of our growth,” wrote the head of the Ministry of Finance on the X platform.

On Monday, the International Monetary Fund increased the forecast for Poland's GDP dynamics in 2026 by 0.4 points. percent to 3.5 percent, and for 2027 it decreased by 0.2 percentage points. percent up to 2.7 percent

Pełczyńska-Nałęcz recalled that one million contracts worth PLN 173 billion have already been signed under the KPO.

“This is one million investments across Poland, from insulating houses and schools, through the construction of nurseries and water sewage networks, to railway lines and wind farms in the Baltic Sea. Almost PLN 40 billion has already been paid. We will invest another PLN 120 billion this year,” she added.

Poland is to receive a total of approximately PLN 232 billion (EUR 54.71 billion) from the KPO, including PLN 107 billion (EUR 25.27 billion) in the form of subsidies and PLN 124.8 billion (EUR 29.44 billion) in the form of preferential loans. (PAP Business)
