Rospotrebnadzor specialists helped a resident of Achinsk return his car rental deposit.
The department’s press service said that the man entered into an oral car sharing agreement with a company to rent a car for a day in a neighboring region.
According to the Achin resident, he learned about this service through the Internet. Having called the specified number, he agreed on the conditions for providing the car. The rental cost was 2,900 rubles, and it was also necessary to leave a deposit of 5 thousand rubles. He transferred this amount by bank transfer to the landlord’s details.
“After returning the car, the man repeatedly tried to resolve the issue of returning the deposit, but in the end the money was not returned to him. Specialists from the Rospotrebnadzor Office advised the victim and assisted him in filing a claim,” the department said.
After receiving the claim, the company returned the man’s money in full.
