A basic shopping basket now costs on average PLN 111.18 – according to the PanParagon application experts' summary. This is a decrease of 0.6 percent. on a weekly basis (i.e. shopping costs PLN 0.68 less than a week ago). Importantly, it is clearly cheaper than last year, when identical purchases cost on average PLN 113 36 gr.
For now, it is difficult to talk about the “Iran effect” on store shelves. Economists, however, do not have good news – the difficult situation in the Middle East will eventually affect our purchases.

These items are the cheapest
On a weekly basis, rapeseed oil is getting cheaper extremely quickly – here we have a drop of 9.2%. Currently, a liter costs PLN 8.31. Sugar is also cheaper – by as much as 7.4%. Now 1 kg costs on average PLN 2.62.
The most expensive wheat flour is the most expensive – an increase of 2.7%. The prices of goods such as red peppers, raspberry tomatoes, potatoes and butter are also going up. The price of a Kaiser roll remains unchanged.
Why do we analyze receipts?
Data from receipts tell us the truth about how much Poles pay on average for individual items. We analyze 14 basic products that are on the shopping lists of most Poles.
