Gdańskie Wodociągi announced that in accordance with the Act on collective water supply and collective sewage disposal, water and sewage companies prepare tariff applications for a period of three years. Last year, the regulatory body (Państwowe Gospodarstwo Wodne Wody Polskie – PAP) approved the submitted application and the tariffs calculated therein for Gdańsk for a period of 36 months.

– The first 12-month tariff period is now ending. The second one will start on February 18, 2026 and – according to the approved application – the total price for water and sewage will increase by 6.81%. – explains the company's spokesman, Michał Gad.

This means that from Wednesday, February 18, the total net amount per cubic meter of water and sewage for households in Gdańsk will be PLN 13.80 (PLN 6.08 per cubic meter of water and PLN 7.72 per cubic meter of sewage – PAP) and will be PLN 0.88 higher than the current rate.

The spokesman for Gdańsk Wodociągi emphasized that prices are calculated based on costs, which are systematically increasing.

– Our activities are primarily influenced by increases in the prices of electricity, chemical materials necessary for the production and treatment of water and sewage, the cost of sewage sludge disposal, an increase in the minimum wage and inflation – said Michał Gad.

According to the information provided by Gdańskie Wodociągi, the total net amount for water and sewage for households from February 18, 2027 will be PLN 14.45. (PAP)
