CTP about Ukraine, after Nicușor Dan's speech: “The dust was collected in record time”

Journalist Cristian Tudor Popescu praised President Nicușor Dan for his most recent speeches, but at the same time criticized him for the attitude he has in relation to the various files on the international scene, arguing that Ukraine “would be dusted in record time” if it was led by the current Romanian head of state, not Volodimir Zelenski.

Speaking on Thursday on B1 TV about the meeting that Nicușor Dan and Volodimir Zelenski had in Cotroceni and the press conference they held, the journalist said that it was Dan's “second consecutive speech” in which he “showed the president”.

“The way of presentation, of expression, of speaking, of conveying a message, which was done with gesticulation towards the inability to express, seemed to want to compensate with gestures, as in a gestural language that I do not know, what he could not convey in words, with very frequent stumbles. Also, the most annoying thing for me, the giggles, which you know very well, at the most inappropriate moments (…). Well, all this has disappeared”, he declared CTP.

He appreciated that Nicușor Dan was “much more fluent” in the last two speeches, “he reduced his gesticulations and managed to convey his message soberly and much more effectively”.

On the other hand, CTP claims that “Ukraine would be dusted in record time” if it was led by Nicușor Dan, whom it had recently accused of not having sufficiently clear and firm attitudes regarding the various situations on the international scene.

“Regarding what Mr. Nicușor Dan says in relation to Zelenski and how the two presidents are behaving, I can't help but ask myself the question: what would have happened to Ukraine if the president of Ukraine was Nicușor Dan, and not Volodymyr Zelenski? (…). The dust was being picked in record time for Ukraine,” Cristian Tudor Popescu also declared.
