Russian Urals crude at a record discount. Sanctions affect Moscow

This means that buyers of the raw material pay, on average, just over $40 per barrel. Argus Media reports Urals crude oil in the port of Primorsk on the Baltic Sea reached the price of $42.09. per barrel, while in Novorossiysk on the Black Sea it dropped to $40.44.

Reduced oil prices are a direct result of sanctions imposed by the United States and the European Union. In particular, the American restrictions introduced at the end of last year have significantly limited Moscow's export opportunities.
