Karol Nawrocki in the White House. Andrzej Duda about the plans of the presidents' visits

On Wednesday, President Duda participated in the peak of NATO in The Hague. This is his last peak of the North Atlantic Alliance, because on August 6 its second term will pass. According to the resolution of the National Electoral Commission of June 2, Karol Nawrocki won the presidential election.
At a press conference, after the NATO summit in Hague, Duda assessed that “we can expect and visits the new Polish president to the White House, and the visit of the President of the United States in Warsaw.” “Of course, the deadlines will still be set, but I assume that it will happen soon,” said Duda.
In the context of the relationship with the United States, the president admitted that he was happy with the meeting of Karol Nawrocki with the US President Donald Trump in the White House, which occurred at the beginning of May, when Nawrocki was just a candidate. “This is a great forecast for me,” Duda admitted. He also assessed that “it is the duty of every President of the Republic of Poland to strengthen American ties.” “We have been doing this for years, I did it for 10 years and I have been listening to it, when some experts say that Polish -American relations are the best in our history,” he said.

President Duda also assessed that the affairs of the North Atlantic Alliance, which he would leave to Nawrocki as the future president, are on a “very good way”. “Of course, you will still have to keep them and keep watching all this, you will also need to watch over the modernization of the Polish army, but we are really on a very good way to provide us with full safety,” said Duda. As he said, one part of this security is Poland and its potential, while the other is provided by our presence in NATO.
