“We are talking about a range of at least 1000 km” – Pery told journalists, quoted by Bloomberg. “We can achieve a range of 2000 km, we can achieve a range of 3000 km” – he mentioned, emphasizing that the final decisions regarding the scope and integration of the system with the European armed forces will be made by politicians.

Pery drew attention to the changing nature of contemporary armed conflicts. He pointed to the war in Ukraine and tensions in the Middle East as examples of the growing importance of precision missile attacks.

ArianeGroup, a joint venture between Airbus and Safran, is a European leader in the ballistics sector.
