Two British husbands, who toured the world by motorcycle, sentenced in Iran to 10 years in prison for alleged acts of espionage

A British couple, Lindsay and Craig Foreman, imprisoned in Iran since January 2025, was sentenced to ten years in prison on espionage, his family announced on Thursday, denouncing a speedy trial, reports AFP.

Lindsay and Craig Foreman, both 52, were on a motorcycle tour of the world when they were arrested in central Iran.

They have always denied Tehenau's accusations of espionage.

“My parents were sentenced to ten years in prison after a trial that lasted only three hours and in which they were not authorized to present their defense“, their son, Joe Bennett, announced in a statement.

Their relatives are “deeply concerned”, he pointed out.

British Foreign Minister Yvette Cooper denounced this conviction on Thursday as “completely revolting and totally unjustifiable”.
