Why did the president of Grupa Azoty lose his position?
The Ministry of State Assets announced the recapitalization of Grupa Azoty, which is to create – as MAP put it – conditions for the effective implementation of the company's strategy and stabilization of the financial situation.
Due to its business profile and direct impact on national security, Grupa Azoty is of strategic importance, which is why MAP is taking “all actions aimed at rebuilding its condition and consolidating the chemical sector in Poland.”
In the announcement, MAP emphasizes the difficult financial situation of the group, “as a consequence of incorrect investment decisions before 2023.”
