About 700 people were evacuated on Sunday night from Monday from three communes in Neamţ county affected by floods caused by torrential rains. Also, the national road 17B was covered by water, announces the department for emergency situations.
In Neamţ county, RO-Alert message was sent to the citizens from three localities, respectively Borca, Farcaşa and Poiana Teiului. They were informed that it was necessary to self-evacate, given the increase of the flow above the level of danger of the Bistriţa river.
“About 560 people from Farcașa commune, 100 people from Borca commune and 30 from Poiana Teiului commune have been self-evacuated or evacuated. Also, the national road 17B, from Neamț county, was flooded,” DSU announced.
Violent storms in several counties
The extreme weather phenomena that manifested themselves on Sunday affected 14 localities in Alba, Arad, Botosani, Hunedoara, Suceava and Vâlcea.
A special situation was in the town of Broșteni, Suceava county, where two streams came out of Matca, needing the intervention of the firefighters to save two people, IGSU announced.
At the level of the six counties, the firefighters intervened to evacuate the water from a house, two courtyards and a street, for the release of the building elements from two buildings, as well as for the release of eight trees and five collapsed pillars, being damaged two vehicles, says IGSU.
