Housewives have received great news: deep cleaning of the bathroom does not require harsh chemicals. One simple product that is found in almost every home is enough – table vinegar (9%). It not only dissolves limescale, rust and soap film, but also leaves behind a light freshness without strong odors.
Everyone who has tried cleaning the bathroom with vinegar never returns to expensive sprays. The main thing is to use it correctly and take into account the type of surface.
Important: before using any product, test it on a small area, especially on natural stone, wood or enamel.
How to use vinegar to clean your bathroom:
1. For faucets and shower heads
Pour vinegar into a bag, put it on a faucet or watering can, and secure with an elastic band. Leave for 30–60 minutes. The plaque will dissolve and the chrome will shine like new.
2. For mirrors and glass shower screens
Mix vinegar and water in a 1:1 ratio and pour into a spray bottle. Spray onto the surface, wait 2-3 minutes, wipe with microfiber. No streaks or glare!
3. For bathtub and sink
Soak a sponge in vinegar, sprinkle a little baking soda to enhance the effect, and rub the dirty areas. Rinse off with warm water. The enamel and acrylic will remain intact, and the dirt will disappear.
4. For tiles and tile joints
Apply vinegar to the brush and scrub the grout. For old plaque, leave on for 10 minutes, then rinse. Vinegar has antiseptic properties and mold recedes.
5. For washing machine
Pour 200 ml of vinegar into the drum and run the “idle wash” program at 60°C. This will remove scale, powder residue and damp odors.
After cleaning, simply ventilate the bathroom. The vinegar smell will disappear after 10-15 minutes. Thanks to its antimicrobial properties, mold and plaque return more slowly, and the bathroom stays fresh longer.
