In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the number of inspections and criminal cases against businesses has sharply decreased

The prosecutor's office of the Krasnoyarsk Territory reported a decrease in pressure on entrepreneurs over the past five years. According to the department, the number of inspections against businesses has decreased by more than three times.

While 2,046 inspections were carried out in 2020, this year their number dropped to 689. The number of criminal cases brought against entrepreneurs fell almost tenfold – from 689 to 64.

Also, the number of businessmen prosecuted has decreased by 3.5 times. In addition, detention as a preventive measure is now used extremely rarely – only three such cases have been recorded in five years.

An important change was the abolition of the practice of so-called “custom cases” in economic disputes. The prosecutor's office also tightened the filter for scheduled inspections by regulatory authorities. Of the 13 thousand applications submitted, only a third were approved, which prevents unreasonable interference in the work of companies.
